Unconvention Education: How To Create A Project Roadmap

We're excited to announce this education session for the 2018 Unconvention:

How To Create A Project Roadmap
Led by Adrian Scott, Product Owner, and Don Mak, QA Automation Engineer, at Meetingmax

Work in teams to create a project roadmap. Come prepared to bargain, negotiate, and debate the features you and your key stakeholders want to see in Meetingmax, but be warned (!), it’s possible that not all projects can be accepted so you better be ready to sell the importance of your wish-list ideas. Using SCRUM methodology, the same project planning method used by the Meetingmax Development team, you will leave this session with a better idea of what's involved in project development all while providing feedback on what you want to see in the Meetingmax system.

Key Takeaways:

  1. What it's like to come up with the ideas, prioritize them, and see how they fit on a roadmap
  2. Learn how the Meetingmax development sprint process works
  3. Share your system wish-list ideas with the Meetingmax development team!

About Adrian:
Adrian has been an unofficial Meetingmax family member for years as the go-to guy for the tough programming jobs. He has recently come to his senses and has joined on with the team full time, looking to continue delivering the tools and features that make our customers smile. Adrian’s relentless thirst for knowledge, and years of experience, have enabled him to build and maintain high-end enterprise software applications that are fast, powerful, and easy to use. He is not only passionate about great code and features, but also the user’s experience, helping the Meetingmax software to continue to be something that customers love. He is proud of what the team has created so far and is excited about what the future will hold for both Meetingmax and its customers.

About Don:
Born and bred a Vancouverite, Don initially dreamt of being an Architect (when not saving people as a Superhero), completing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at UBC. After a few years of professional experience in the Transportation and Mining industries, Don found his calling in the Technology world breaking into Telecom as a Firmware Developer. After the Dotcom bust, Don went back to UBC and completed his Bachelors in Computer Science. This led to many years as a Quality Assurance Engineer and ultimately finding his tribe with Meetingmax!
